The second annunal Faye McMillian Grant Conference Grant has been awarded by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA), on June 24, 2024.

Professor Faye McMillan is a Wiradjuri yinaa (woman) and an Atlantic Fellow for Social Equity. The grant  is awarded each year to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander pharmacists to attend Australia’s leading pharmacist education conference held in Sydney.

Faye is a community pharmacist and recognised as the first Indigenous Australian to hold a western degree in pharmacy in Australia.

In a press release the PSA National President Associate Professor Fei Sim FPS said, Supporting First Nations pharmacists is not just about equity; it’s about recognising and harnessing the unique perspectives and contributions they bring to the healthcare landscape.

The recipients of the PSA Faye McMillan Conference Grant for 2024 are, Timothy Hockam, Elizabeth Dening and Kirralee Natty.
