Kim Ooi will be joining the Atlantic Institute on Aug. 23 as team coordinator for grants and funding.

Originally from Malaysia, Kim has a degree in business management and started her career at the University of Oxford. During her 13 years of working in higher education, she has been involved in a range of activities including managing student fees, academic records and scholarships. She has worked with a range of charitable organizations, corporations and foreign education ministries to help promote and manage their scholarships at Oxford.

Kim said: "What drew me to the Atlantic Institute was my interest in its ethos, especially as I have a passion to promote health care equality in Southeast Asia. I believe that regardless of background, everyone should be able to easily access basic health care."

In her spare time, Kim enjoys learning new languages and going for long walks.
